Ingredients of Kathal Biryani
- Prepare 2 cup of Rice (soaked for 1 hour).
- It's 250 gm of Kathal/ jackfruit (raw)(cut into medium size peices).
- You need 1 cup of Curd.
- Prepare 1 of Lemon.
- Prepare 4 of Green chilli.
- It's 1 of Carrot(chopped roughly).
- Prepare 2 of Tomato (medium size and diced).
- You need 4 of Onion (medium size and sliced).
- It's 1.1/2 tsp of Ginger- garlic paste.
- Prepare 1 bunch of Coriander leaves.
- You need 1.1/2 of Mint leaves bunch.
- It's 2 of Bay leaves.
- Prepare 1/2 teaspoon of Red chilli powder.
- It's 2 teaspoon of Coriander powder.
- You need 1 teaspoon of Garam masala powder.
- Prepare to taste of Salt.
- It's 1/2 teaspoon of Turmeric powder.
- Prepare 1/2 cup of Oil.
- Prepare 2 tablespoon of Ghee.
Kathal Biryani instructions
- We've to marinate kathal for 2-3 hours. For that we need:-.
- Grind coriander leaves, mint leaves, 1/2 cup Curd, lime juice and 2 green chillies..
- Then take a bowl, add jackfruit/kathal, coriander and mint leaves, tomato, carrot, 2 suited green chillies, left curd, lime juice, coriander powder, ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, 1/2 cup oil and mix them well and put it into fridge for 2-3 hours..
- After 2-3 hours, take marinated kathal out of the fridge. Put pressure cooker on the flame, add 1 tablespoon oil, put some bay leaves and add in your sliced onion into it and let it cook for some time till it's light brown in colour..
- Then add marinated mixture into it and mix well and add water if required otherwise not and cook it for 2-3 vessels and then switch off the flame..
- Let it cool down and again switch on the flame and put your pressure cooker having cooked jackfruit add in your soaked rice into it and add water as per the requirement so that it'll be properly cooked. And again cook it for 2 vessels and switch off the flame..
- When pressure cooker release all it's pressure then open the lid and add ghee into it and mix it properly..
- Now, our kathal biryani is ready to serve..
