Ingredients of Hariyali Chicken Gravy

  1. Prepare 1 kg of Chicken.
  2. You need 2 of Big Onions.
  3. It's 100 grams of Mint leaves.
  4. You need 100 grams of Coriander leaves.
  5. It's 150 ml of Curd.
  6. Prepare 8-15 of Green chillies (depending on spice level).
  7. You need 1 spoon of Chilli powder.
  8. It's 1 spoon of Coriander powder.
  9. You need 1 spoon of Jeera Powder.
  10. It's 1 spoon of Garam masala.
  11. It's 10 grams of Crushed dried methi.
  12. Prepare 5 tbsp of ghee/Oil.
  13. It's to taste of salt.
  14. You need 1/2 spoon of turmeric powder.
  15. You need As needed of whole garam masala.

Hariyali Chicken Gravy instructions

  1. Clean and marinate chicken with turmeric powder and some rock salt for atleast 10 minutes..
  2. To a mixer jar/blender add coriander leaves, mint leaves, green chillies.
  3. Add some curd and little water and blend to a smooth paste.
  4. To a pan add oil/ghee and splutter whole garam masala.
  5. Add chopped onions and fry till golden brown.
  6. Add the marinated chicken and coat the onions and roast for 10 minutes in medium low flame.
  7. Then add ginger garlic paste and saute till raw smell goes off.
  8. Then add chilli powder, coriander powder, jeera powder.
  9. And some garam masala and saute the masalas with some salt.
  10. Once raw smell of masalas goes off, add the green paste and mix and cover and cook the chicken on medium low flame for about 25 minutes.
  11. After 25 minutes, open the lid, stir the chicken and add crushed dried methu, stir and turn off flame after 2 minutes.
  12. Serve hot with Rotis, phulkas, chapathis, naan or all breads, rice, pulao etc..
