Ingredients of Red Chilli Chutney
- You need 5-6 of Red chilli.
- It's 10-12 of Shallots/Madras onions.
- You need 3-4 of garlic cloves.
- You need to taste of Salt.
- Prepare 1 pinch of Hing/Asafoetida.
- You need of Tamarind one small piece.
- You need 2 tsp of Oil.
Red Chilli Chutney step by step
- Heat oil in a pan, add chillies and roast till the aroma comes.(It should not become brown.).
- Remove the chillies and add shallots..
- Fry the shallots till golden brown colour..
- Add garlic and saute for few seconds..
- Add Hing and stir well..
- Switch of the flame and add salt and tamarind..
- Allow it to cool completely and grind it to a paste..
- Serve with dosa, idli or as you desire..
- Note - you can add more chilli for extra spiciness..
