  1. Wash ridge gourd and peel the sharp edges, chop finely and keep aside..
  2. Heat oil in kadai add channa dal, urad dal. Once dal starts to change colour add onion, garlic and green chilli. Once onion done add chopped ridge gourd. Saute until ridge gourd done. Now add tomato. Cook until mushy..
  3. When ready to switch off the flame add grated coconut and switch off. Cool and grind to smooth paste with salt. Transfer to bowl.
  4. Heat tsp of oil in kadai add mustard, cumin, curry leaves and red chilli. Once mustard done pour this over chutney..
