  1. First boil moong dal in pressure cooker for 3 whistles.Flame should be high else 2 whistles. Heat oil/ghee in a large pan and cumin seeds and hing. Then add onions, ginger,chilli and garlic..
  2. Saute till onions are soft. Add the spice powders and saute for few seconds. Add tomatoes and cook till mushy. Add the spinach and salt and cook till spinach is half cooked.
